Went to Bali for the first time in Oct, and Stayed in the Baleka Beach resort. After a few nights met up with some girls from Samoa who liked to go midnight swimming and moon baking. On our first night out with them, we went on the Foo-kin pub crawl, which was lead by a cheeky boy called Rick, top bloke! Nice green t/shirts were supplied, everybody got introduced, there was me, Julie, Ally (Whitney), Jaynce (J-Lo), Mark and Jeff were crawling that evening. Everyone on the bus, holy grails given out and the first shot of Arak drunk. Then the beer drinking began. Unfortunately the aussie's couldn't keep up with the English power drinking, or sculling beer! After a 3 legged race some sing songs from the diva's and 5 bars later we hit the bounty were Rick showed us his dance moves (very impressed). The night ended our ritual dip in the pool and a vow never to drink arak again! But the pub crawl is a must do!
The day after we decided to have a quiet night in the hotel bar, this quiet night turned into a 4.5 million bar bill between 4 of us, never been done before! Yet again another swim before we passed out!
The next night was Rick's birthday, so to surprise him we went in fancy dress, which included lava-lava's, arm floaties, rubber ring and goggles. (We were going to included flippers but walking proved difficult never mind drunken staggering)! For his birthday pressie we bought him the same and he joined in with us! Bless! We played pass the ice, which got very messy and that's all I'm saying! That was another great night in the foo-kin pub! And the floaties came in useful for our moon bathing!
All my holiday photo's are of us four with random people we met in pubs and clubs, people back home were expecting some nice scenic snaps, well they get to see ye ld foo-kin pub, the wave, the bounty, Paddy's, some reggie club, Macaroni and many more!
Macaroni is excellent at food but the best chicken cordon blue award goes to the Foo-kin pub, we tried it every where and went back for more there!
Bali is awesome and I can't wait to go back again next year! Were we should be hooking up with J-lo and Whitney again!
