The Tegal Sari is not in Monkey Forest Rd like the Ubud Village, but it is not so far out that you are isolated. In fact it's a nice leisurely walk to the Monkey Forest and the main drag. It's a lovely hotel and very calming and serene with wonderful views.There are heaps of restaurants right next to it, you don't have to walk to eat.
The Ubud Village is a great very central hotel if you really like being amongst the shops.
They are both excellent places to stay in Ubud.
