i usually just have carry-on bag and no checked in luggage, but last trip friend and i shared a suitcase and decided to get it wrapped.....you should have seen us trying to get it un-wrapped as we had our 'sharps' in the suitcase.
I have seen people glad wrap their own bags.
Its a small price to pay for your own piece of mind if you are concerned.
