We have just stayed there and made a phone call to Merrick the owner from Ubud and arrived two days later. He didn't ask for anything up front and we paid him in cash when we arrived and looked around. I don't know what he would ask for re next year but I can guarantee he is honest and is really looking to establish a good reputation so he would not burn his bridges. The villas are in a small gang off Rum Jungle Road and another gang runs beside it also which leads you to the front of the Jayakarta. You can walk to beach in a few minutes (bali time) and Jl Seminyak/Legian is also a few minutes the other way. There is no noise whatsoever apart from the occasional motorbike but we didn't notice anything. The villas have the latest security code panel at the front which is always closed up and there is more security within the villa itself. Merrick has a security guard around but you never see him and he lives there also but is separated by gated wall so privacy is ensured. We literally walked out to Kus Nadi hotel and caught taxi everywhere or walked down to restaurants on beach. You felt like you were in your own little pocket of rural bali but with access to everything. I'm sure there are many places similar in Seminyak and bigger but we just wanted to have the convenience of Legian. I hope you can work something out and spend even a few days there. Cheers Sue
