No, we received the depreciated value for the articles in our claim. The claim was assesed in accordance with the terms and conditions of our travel insurance policy. As such we were aware that we would not receive replacement value. You have to tell them when the items were bought, how much you had paid for them, and what you are claiming. We considered the final settlement to be a fair one.
