Hi Sonya. Last month we stayed 8 nights at the Casa Padma in a Superior Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. I'm sure you'll enjoy staying at this hotel, we certainly did. There was plenty of space in the bedroom/lounge areas. Furniture is in the contemporary style, and included a small desk and a lounge suite, tea & coffee making facilities, and a bar fridge. You could turn the TV around to watch it from the bedroom or the lounge area. There were plenty of channels, including the ABC. The lighting too was very good, while the airconditioner was quiet and could be left on during the day.
Our suite was on the ground floor, next to the swimming pool. We could sit outside our room, or use the deck chairs around the pool. Next to the bedroom was a dressing room with dressing table, and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom was roomy too, with a bath and a shower with good water pressure. The wash basin was a glass bowl with very nice tap fittings. There was a hairdryer attached to the wall.
The staff were lovely: well trained and friendly. We very much enjoyed our meals at their restaurant ('Drops'). After every meal they would give us vouchers for free desert at our next meal. Who could resist that? Breakfast was a choice between Aussie (I think it included steak?), American, Asian or Continental. Their fresh fruit juices were great, how I miss these.
Anyway, I hope this helps to put your mind at ease. Have a great 50th birthday celebration!
