this question a while back regarding weight and the bags.
Ok. Firstly, the weight of the vacuum bag is negligible, and the weight of air is well ---- air !! So, no additional weight with these bags.
I have to add here, that what a GREAT IDEA though, especially for those bulky items like quilts etc, so Bentley, grab one or two of these bags.
