We were up at 7am having a coffee on the verandah. Coral decided to try on some clothes she had brought at the markets, but they were too small. We had a little chuckle that we were both going start a diet.........tomorrow!

The phone rang and it was Mum..........'You have to come over there's been an accident!' I thought ohh no.. one of them has slipped over and hurt them selves! Mum mumbled something about the window 'I only tried to open it' Then I thought ohh god she has put her arm through the window...... there is going to be blood every where!!!
Coral and I raced down the stairs and over to their cottage.........there at the bottom of the steps was a 'window'.....glass, wooden frame and handle...all intact. Mum had tried to open the window and it just fell out, it fell one storey down and didn't even break the glass!

Mum was not in the good books with Marg this morning. Last night she had left the tap running in the hand basin and had flooded the bathroom!
She had also tried to do my trick by making a little noise from her bottom, but had it had followed through!!!! She had to change her knickers!!!!! Ooh That's Bali! how many people has had that happen to. Ha ha Not me thank goodness!!!
I have enough embarrasment with what some of you refer to as bottom burps! I love that wording!

Coral and I left the two M's room giggling as we passed the window lying in the garden. We were walking past the out door gym when Coral said that's it I'm going to work out and loose weight so I can fit into the my new clothes! With that she hopped onto an exercise machine and swung it into action as I heard 'CRUNCH' the machine broke!!!..........har har now it was my turn to run off and pee!

Well after breakfast it was off to the Monkey Forest, I had a few tricks up my sleeve for old Coral. 'Now put the bananas under your top, so the monkeys won't see them' this worked for awhile until she got smart and realized that the monkeys would sniff them out.
One of the guides came up and asked us if we would like to go and look at a temple up on the hill.........Mum and I had done this one some years ago and found the guy lures you up there then tries to sell you post cards. So being the nice friend that I am I said that Coral and Marg should go and look, as Mum and I have seen it.
They came back after about 10 minutes and said the guy had taken them over and tried to sell them post cards and when they had refused he turned his back on them, very disgruntled and walked away not happy.

After playing with the monkeys for about an hour we organized a bemo to take us to the village of Tegallalang. I had read,on the forum, that it had unusual things there. We were just getting into the bemo when Coral decided she had to bloody pee again!!!
I decided I better go too.. just in case... but on the way to the loo there was an ice cream shop! Of cause I didn't make it to the loo... I decided that we all needed to have one of those yummy looking ice creams! (ha ha Coral has no chance of fitting into those clothes...maybe she will give them to me) I got 4 different flavours and when Coral came out we couldn't decide which one to have so we both licked all four of them hee hee........but don't tell Mum!

We were expecting market stalls at the village but it was a street full of different shops, and yes there were lots of different things. I brought two painted wooden roosters for 10,000rp I didn't even barter, I thought that was a good price.
We found a little clothes shop that I brought my grandsons lots good quality clothing. T shirts Pj's, denim shorts etc. We all spent up big, as it was great to be able to shop in peace without being hassled. The lady in the shop was delighted, she couldn't stop smilling.

Well it was lunch time so we decided to head back to Ubud and find Ibu Oka, that was recommend on the forum, for suckling pig. The driver knew exactly where it was and dropped us off out the front. It was jammed packed with people...there was no way we would have fitted in. And most people were sitting on the floor, the two M's would not have been able to manage that. As we walked past we were a little put off by the amount of flies on the roast pork and the people serving were using their hands. We had to drag the two M's away as they were standing there with screwed up faces.....not a good look for people trying to eat!

So it was off to find Casa Luna another recommendation. The food was very nice I had Cap Cay and a sprite 42,000. Gee while writing this JBR I realized all I ate was Cap Cay. My first experience eating Cap Cay was at the Camplung Mas and it was to die for........so I think I have been trying to find one that is just as good...they were all good but no comparison to the one at Camplung Mas.

After lunch we decided to hit the markets again.........we have so much fun with the locals when we go there, we don't stop laughing.
We decided to go to the other side of the markets as we had not ventured there before.
I am not sure what happened but it was one of those moments when Coral and I were in fits of laughter, we were sitting on the steps leading up to the markets, not able to get move in fear of peeing our selves. Oh the joys of being an aging female!!
Mum was at the bottom of the steps saying to the market stall holders that she would not come up as she could not climb the stairs.......the next thing there were 4 woman helping her up the stairs. Which sent Coral and I into even more hysterics. Not a good look when your Mother is being helped up by strangers while her daughter is sitting on the steps laughing!

Mum got caught at he first stall Margaret at the second and Coral a few stalls down....some stall holders tried to drag me away to show me their stalls but I told them I have to stay and help Ibu. They didn't realize I was staying for THEIR safety! Mum had been caught in a market stall earlier... you know the ones that push you to the back of their stall and have a firm grip on your arm and won't let you out until you have brought something? Well this woman had Mummy bear at the back of her stall...........................the next minute the lady came flying backwards with Mum in her face saying 'Don't you touch me!!!' ' I told you I am just looking!!'

Mum brought some caftan looking dress that she thought would be nice to put on after her bath. It kind of resembled the bat that they had photos with. Hee hee I told her it was bloody horrible but she liked it .
Coral and Marg seem to be ok so I walked ahead leaving them. I ended up sitting next to a policeman who was sitting in one of the stalls. I sat down next to him and started to chat. He was lovely and offered me a cigarette, which I was tempted until I smelt the cloves and politely gave it back to him. Mum came around the corner and must have seen me seen me with the policeman and ran back to get the girls thinking I was in trouble. They all come running around the corner to my rescue......... ha ha ha I think they were disappointed when they found out I was just having a chat to him. We all had photos taken with him and we were on our way.

Back at Tegal Sari we had drinks on Mum and Margs verandah. We decided to have a showing of what we brought. Margaret brought out a pair of calf length trousers and two scarves, she said I didn't want the scarves I only wanted the pants but the lady didn't have any change, I don't even wear scarves!..........we cacked ourselves laughing, she had paid 50,000rp. Coral had brought the same pants for 20,000rp.

To end the day Coral and I decided we would book a beauty treatment. . My husband and I treated ourselves to a 4.5 hour treatment the last time we were there. Tegal Sari has brochures in the room with prices for the treatments and they will provide you with transfers.
We were picked up and taken to the beauty salon, where I had a massage and a facial, Coral had a hair treatment and a massage. When you arrive they give you slippers to put on and a glass of water. They have a lovely display with samples of the body scubs and massage oils. After picking the one we liked we were taken upstairs to a room with two massage tables.
It was pure bliss. Afterwards we had a shower and were taken down stairs and given a herbal tea while we waited for the pick up. I don't drink tea but this tea was superb, it was a mixture of ginger, lemon grass, cinnamon and a few other things that I can't remember. I asked if they had any for sale, but was told they make it themselves. They use a pestle and ground up the fresh herbs. Next time I will have to watch how they do it.

Well it was home and the end of another day in the isle of the Gods.

Tomorrow its back to Kuta
