Friends first trip to Bali with 5mths expiry on passport, it was not picked up on departure at Sydney but he was taken to the 'little' room in Bali and threatened with return to Oz on the next flight out but after paying a bribe he was allowed in. His fault as he was not aware of the requirement. Get a new passport, they take this rule seriously.
