We've stayed next door at the Respati. La Taverna looked OK from the outside, but we never went in. The beach and walkway is very nice and clean in that area and right along Sanur beach.

Very good money changer right opposite, a Wartel office, with security guard. Probably as good a rate as you will get in Sanur and counting your money is just a formality.

Aladin restaurant is almost opposite, just a short walk south of the moneychanger. Very tasty meals at very reasonable prices and waiter Michael will look after your sister and her partner. A short walk away is Kalimantan with great tuna steaks. And Ananda Cafe on the beachfront going north past the markets is good and cheap.

The Cat and Fiddle is worth a visit, especially on Tuesday evenings when the owner [who is the British consul] gets together with his brother and a few other musos and singers for an informal "Irish night". Anyone who wants to can join in.
