Was in Candi Dasa last week, ate at Vincents a few times. Vincents is located app. 40m. just before the 90 degree dog leg at the end od the main drag on the left. It is a great place to eat, nice and romantic and silver service. The smoke salmon is a must (if you like salmon), cost 33,000rp. Bintang on tap and a selection of wines.
A new restaurant just opened two weeks ago is Warung Jepun, located right on the dog leg on the other side from Vincents. It is the next restaurant past Legends. Good food and service and cheaper than Vincents.
The village is worth a look. They have people demonstrating how the lontars are written.
No you can't walk all the way along the beach.
We stayed at Resor Prima, it has just been renovated. On our last trips we were paying 150,000rp now they are asking 400,000rp. Managed to get 250,000rp as we had stayed there many times before.
We plan to stay at Candidasa Beach Hotel next time, app. 10 mins walk from Vincents.
Cheers.
