How the mighty have fallen!

I used to surf at the break called Green Ball when it was still a secret spot. There was rarely anyone there at all and it was quite a hike down to the beach. Luckily there was a spacious cave where you could shelter from the sun in preparation for the climb back up the cliff.

Later the Bali Cliff was built and I and Heatherbelle checked it out. 5 star hotel, tension edge pool right on the cliff, lift to the beach, which we tried and had a beer at the base and watched a lone surfer ride the left-hander (no-one on the right) and were amazed at the changes to what was a perfect secluded location. Even then there was vitually no clientel and we wondered how it could ever stay in business at such an out-of-the-way location.

I guess it would be quite a melancholy site now, but I like ruins.
