Have stayed at the Bali Hai and the Dynasty with our children. On both occasions had an executive suite which made it very easy to stay together. I would have to say the kids club at the Dynasty is much better equipped but the girls in the kids club at the Bali Hai were lovely and had a special rapport with the children.
In terms of room configuration out of the two the Dynasty would be better if you can splash out for the executive suites. Ours on the ground floor had a king bed in the main bedroom, three sofa beds in the lounge that are converted into beds by the staff (with a minimum of fuss) for the night. I don't know the make up of the family groups but the room next to the main bedroom is ajoining and could be booked also. This would then provide you with two bathrooms and toilets and the extra beds in there as well.
For the price difference I would take an exective suite at the Dynasty before the suites at the Bali Hai as they offer much more in the way of facilities. I could go on and on but their web site lists the facilities available in the rooms.
I will say one more thing though. Despite the fact that it is very reasonable to eat out around Bali at times my children just get tired of eating out and want somthing simple to eat. The exec suites at the Dynasty with the table and chairs and the size of the fridge allow a little bit of home catering.
