First of all, take a deep breath and relax...
1. I take AUD$ and leave in the hotel safety deposit. Take out and cash as needed. Only walk around with as much as I will probably need. I use a pouch/wallet thingy(!) that fits in the money and has a loop for my wrist to go through. Can also fit my phone and room key (just).
2. Never stayed so can't help, but if you use the "Search" function you'll find heaps of info.
3. Scroll down to a post from Pieboy called BBB (Big Bums in Bali). This is all you could ever need!
4. Is bungee jumping safe anywhere?!?!!? Not sure, but have seen lots of people do it on the beach end of JL 66 (I think it's Hackett's, but not positive).
5. Pay as much as you think it is worth. I always pay to much, but I'm still paying less than home and getting a bargain! Again, if you search the archives, you'll get an idea...
6. I have my phone on international roaming but call costs are huge! (recieving and making). Texting back and forth is the same. I usually buy a prepaid card from inside Discovery Centre and the girl sets it up, tells me the # and how to check credit. Is a much cheaper alternative. (texting is also cheaper). Make sure your phone is unlocked and can use other sim cards though.

I was nervous before my first trip too, but thanks to this site, I knew enough to calm me, but not enough to ruin the excitement! I'd recommend hanging around here and reading (and posting) as much as you can. There is also another site that you can look up on Google, Bali Chat. But this one is probably more informative, (the other is less formal!)
Like I said, Relax, and you will have a fantastic time!
My boyfriend and I are heading back for our 3rd time in 18months in August! We were hooked from our first time!
