You've given this women more money than she has ever seen in her life. One day she can't even afford to feed herself then the next the debt's gone, the rent's paid for year....what's next.....mmmm what about a bike???? You are a miracle to her and she knows this will probably never happen again. She needs to milk it for all its worth. If I was her, I would too - much more nicely of course but when you're poor you take what you can. This is her lifetime opportunity to have anything of value.
I just finished reading "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert and she stays in Bali for a few months and decides to help out her friend Wayan with money to buy a house. USD$18,000!!! Then her friend Wayan wants more. The same scenario as you.
Your kindness will be repaid a hundred times over, maybe not by her but you've got a million frequent karma points now.
