I did my sponsorship through Helen Flavel Foundation through information I read on this this forum.
It cost me $120 for a year, that provides the child with a full year of education, school books and uniforms.
I emailed Helen, and sent the payment, she sent me a photo of the child and a brief description about him and his family, she also organised a driver to pick me up and take me to the villiage to meet him. This was all aranged in a matter of weeks.
I am just an average working person that does not have a lot of money. For me to go to Bali I have to save very hard. But for as little as $120 a year it was the greatest feeling knowing that I can help people less fortunate than myself. After seeing the conditions these people live in I am very very well off!
If any one is thinking about doing this..........do it you won't regret it!
