We were booked to fly to Bali with Qantas from Adel via Perth on 31 Aug. Got a call last Fri and they were planning to change us to adel to perth to darwin and then on to Bali. I did a bit of pleading and they agreed to change ours to flight Adel to Darwin (10 hour stopover) and then on to Bali (arriving 11.20 pm Bali time). Not happy but coming from Adel we dont have many options for travel to Bali because as of 1 Sept we no longer have access to any direct flights. We are scheduled to come back to Adel via Perth on 14 Sept but have been warned not to take this as a guarantee as it might change before that time! Looks like flying all over Aust to fill up the planes is now the way the airlines are going.
