Weather and Cooking Classes

We are flying to Bali this Saturday. Last time i went to Bali was 15 years ago. Going with my mother 75ish and 19 year old daughter, and myself 49 ish. Do we need to take a jumper? We are staying at the Padma and have heard that it is very nice. Also want to do a cooking course, can you suggest one that we can do. Thankyou
