depending on your budget & exactly what quality you're after. I've bought sheets, mattress protectors, etc from 3 different places & I'm happy with them all, though they're all different. I only buy plain white linen, although sometimes with a white-on-white stripe in the weave or similar. The first place we bought from (2 yrs ago) was the Conrad Resort (Benoa), through their in-room shopping. Now, I'm not sure whether you can buy from them if you're not staying in the resort, but would be worth a try if you don't have luck elsewhere. They have absolutely beautiful white striped doona covers, sheets & pillow cases as well as great feather doonas and the most wonderful, huge feather pillows you could imagine! I think the doona cover was about AU$200, and the mattress protector (all thick, soft cotton and very padded) was about AU$120. Expensive, but not at all when you take into account the wuality & what you'd pay here for it.
The second lot we bought were made by the gang at Rasa Sayang, a place that Fiona mentions below, that she took me to. They are also 100% cotton and well made. They're a lower thread count, plain white and very cheap - a king sized doona cover, king sized fitted sheet & 4 pillow cases were only AU$53! I ordered them on the Monday & they were ready as promised on the Friday. They seem very honest & obliging & have some other lovely stuff in the shop.
The third set I bought this year at Matahari's Kuta Square. They're Italian 310 thread count 100% cotton - fabulous quality & were another real bargain. I got A super-king sized doona cover, king fitted sheet, 4 pillow cases and 2 bolster cases for AU$114. Very, very good value for the quality.
I also bought some pillow cases on sale at Centro (70% off), but their sheets were just way too expensive compared to elsewhere.
Another option is to have them made- if you remember your measurements- or even better, take an old sheet/doona cover etc for them to copy. You could then buy your fabric at Wiras Fabrics in Kuta and get them made by a tailor. They sell 3 different qualities of sheeting, including a hotel quality one, but I'm unsure of the prices, sorry. They were very cheap for other fabrics & are more used to dealing with locals, I think, so prices should be cheap by our standards.
Hope this all helps. Cheers, Sue.
