A lot depends on where you will be staying on your holiday here. Because I live in Sanur I can give you heaps of advice about this area. I rarely go to Kuta except to watch football telecasts at Kuta Townhouses.(cheap beer there as well) Very close to my place is a beachfront restaurant named Kesuma. It is just south of the Mecure Hotel. Prawns and fish are displayed on ice. My darling and I often share a whole grilled fish there. Along with a few cold beers the total price is around 50-70,000 rp (depends on how many beer I have).Opposite north end of Hyatt Hotel is restaurant named Sea Horse. The fish, prawns and lobster are swimming in tanks. You select-they cook. Next door is Indian restaurant named Clay Pot. Both run by Indian chap named Suni along with Indonesian wife Sulis.Further down same street (Jalan Danau Tamblingan) is Annas Warang. Good spot for Sunday roast lunch. Is headquaters for expat bike group named Pist'on Broke. All harmless old buggers who will make you welcome. Stan is name of guy running the place. cheers
