The X thing is a load of crap and should be discouraged.
They have already x rayed your bag and know that there are no bombs or other dodgy stuff......... BUT, here is something in there that we can score money off.
This is called corruption. It is illegal in Indonesia, and we should avoid it at all costs as our governments would be unhappy if they thought we were actively taking part.
They only legal thing for Western tourists to do is to have a supply of wet wipes on hand to get rid of these insidious marks.
You can then go home with a clear conscious, knowing you have assisted the President of Indonesia in his fight against corruption.
You are also helping yourself.
John Howard, is also against corruption within or outside your borders, but if he gets a whiff of the fact that you have aided and abetted Bali Customs in corrupt activities, he would have no chouce but to have serious charges laid against you upon your return.
Do the right thing Aussies and fight corruption.
