It's Madame Pie here this time who, upon reading Pieboy's latest offering, realised that he'd left out our morning excursion to the ANIMALE FACTORY WAREHOUSE!!!
(Actually, I think he's trying to block it out...)
Pie's mentioned that his fondness for culinary delights has resulted in a less than svelte physique - that goes for both of us! We both look like we've stepped out of a Rubens painting :-)
I'd packed only a couple of sarongs and swimsuits (to fit the mountains of cuddly toys in our luggage) and was fast running out of things to wear. Having struck out badly in Garlic Lane the previous day I was keen to hit the Animale Factory.
Mixed feelings about our excursion - there was a lot that I liked... but I was at the extreme end of their size range (a size 6) and the choice was limited by what was left in that size.
Loooooved the men's range - for me, not for Pieboy! Gorgeous linen shirts with lilac and khaki abstract floral. 'It's a bit frooty. Fine for Italian waiters with 12 inch hips', lamented Mr Pie (who was also nearing the end of the gear he'd brought over... including the aforementioned grundies).
Nonetheless, he endured over an hour of me fossicking through the racks - for which I owe him a debt of gratitude!
I promise to write up a plus sizes report - 'Big Bums in Bali' - in the not-too-distant, when I've gone through my receipts and notes.
Stay tuned...
