three weeks in NZ and the first thing that struck me was how many more tourists there are now than three weeks ago. Coming through Tuban last night and along the beach road it was the same.
The final decision is up to you but where is it really safe?
Saw on the news last night that 50 plus children are killed or injured annually in Australia in their own driveways by parents backing over them and some nasty murders in Thailand over the last month.
There is some risk everywhere, including driving to the airport, but personally I feel safe here and refuse to alter the things I do or the places I go as that is exactly what terrorists want.
Without wishing to trivialise what happened last year in any way, it should be remembered that there were around 70,000 tourists in Bali that night.
Like the car stickers after the first bomb said " Come back to Bali. Don't let the terrorists win."
