hi...we are off on the 14th..staying mandira.

would recommend taking your own board...not worth the hassle bargaining for crappy old boards, and then being hassled if you stay out 20 seconds longer than you paid for!.. altho heaps of people do.
far better to take a board you know..even if you cant stand up :) (boardrider joke!)
i think garuda still dont charge to take your board.(or esky lid)

if all you are after is reasonable fun waves, there is plenty between poppys lane, where you will be staying, and the mandira, where we usually stay.
it is generally smaller near poppys lane, getting bigger as you get up to padma st. near the mandira....but here you have to be extra careful...it can get very rippy and dangerous, and many people have drowned in the surf near here.

somewhere in the middle seems as good as anywhere on an average swell day..pretty mellow and friendly altho the shape can be foul sometimes.best surf is always at high tide...surf shops have tide charts.

there are heaps of places that have more intense surf, best is to get there and ask around in the water.

for just fun surf and good fun, the area above is excellent.

have a great one

cheers
