I used a tailor for the first time last month and he was recommended to me by an expat living in Bali. So I figured local knowledge would be worth something!
I stayed in Seminyak and he came to our villa for fittings, which was very handy. I took a picture of what I wanted made - an evening skirt plus a Chinese top, with side buttons.
He did an amazing job of copying from just a picture.
I am so pleased with the result, that I am taking some of my favourite clothes with me next trip for him to copy and this will be much easier than doing it from a photo......
I only had limited time (3 days) so I took my own material, but he supplied the lining, buttons, zips etc and all done in time.
