I bought a very nice Citizen Eco Drive for less than a third aussie price.(around A$100)
They also did a repair for me on an old Seiko.
There is a guy in the shop (part chinese??)who speaks excellent english with an American accent.
There are also some very ornate and clever electronic wall clocks available.
