a 36 hour trip!!! I will never begrudge about our 3 hour trip from perth again!! I can understand you not wanting to think on arrival - you will be JET LAGGGEDDDDDDD. You will see so many places to eat, you wont need to look or think on your first night. The tourist strip all through tuban, kuta, legain and seminyak is cluttered with shops and places to eat. One I enjoyed last trip was Billy's bar which is probably the next block down from where you are staying, and is in Legian. It is a lovely relaxed bar/restaraunt. Big comfy lounge chairs to sit in. Most hotels have reasonable restaraunts too, so if your too "out of it" maybe sit by the pool/pool bar for a few drinks and grab something to eat at the hotel.
