hi dani, i'm 27 and have been to bali for the last 2 new years and am planning to go again this year. i love it at this time of year. i've been before during the september period but much prefer new years. it feels like the one big night lasts for the whole trip. the first new years trip in 2004 was with 4 couples (ages between 23 and 29). we had a huge time and spent new years eve at paddys and partied til the sun came up. there were people there of all ages and nationalities there and it was a night we'll never forget.
last new years i went over with my husband, sister and her boyfriend and my parents. it was definitely more low key than the year before but we all still enjoyed it so much we are going to do it again this year.
the only real negative i can think of is that it does rain alot at this time of year but we never let it bother us. it was always still hot and we saw plenty of sunshine.
