We always stay at Bali Hai Resort however, the Green Garden Resort & Spa is directly acroos the road from there in Jl Wana Segara. Do not confuse it with Green Garden Hotel in Jl Kartika Plaza about 1km away.

While we stay at Bali Hai we have eaten many times at the GGRS restaurant and found the food excellent, inexpensive, and the staff are all A1. The restaurant is built on stilts with the ground floor being a small staff carpark. Food and beverages are served on levels 2 & 3 from where there are excellent sunset views. For every RP50.000 spent a voucher is awarded and when you have collected 4 vouchers a T/Shirt is given to you.

The Spa is also excellent, with very professional masseurs, beauticians and it offers treatments from 1/2 massages to 3 1/2 hour full beauty treatments. The facilities for treatments are very private and comfortable.

The hotel is small, and is built on more than 3 levels (I think it is 6) however, there is no lift so if you are on an upper level you should be relatively fit. the pool and surrounds are excellent while somewhat small. Bfore the massage huts were constructed, ground floor and 1st floor rooms were used. From recollection they were adequate.

There are many good restaurants in the immediate area including those in Bali Hai, Rama Beach Cottages and Risata Bali Resort. Rama Beach virtually surrounds GGRS. Some of the rests are Pantai rest - on the beach 150 meters away, SA Cafe - 60 metres away, Lotus Tavern -150 metrs away and Ma Joly, an up market place just past Pantai Rest.

SA Cafe will exchange currency at good rates and they are the most honest changer I have come across in my 16 visits. Once the notes are counted out they do not lay a finger on them again and only offer Rp50.000 & RP100.000 notes. Well worth remembering.

We certainly prefer Bali Hai but we do like the ambience of GGRS, it's staff, the spa and restaurant. Incidently because we ate there so often last year we got 10% discount card for food and drinks.

Incidently, the owners of both GGH & GGRS also own "Febris Hotel & Restaurant in JL Kartika.
