I would purchase a Bali Sim card it is so much cheaper than your Aust carrier as you dont have the roamiing charge. I paid 25,000 for my start up card which gave me about 20 fee sms then did a top up for 20,000 which gave me another 100 sms you could also receive calls from Aust and not have to pay roaming. There is a lot of places that you can purchase them from in Kuta/Legian most of the mini marts just ask on the street there is bound to be a place right by that sells them. I got a simpati card this time it was great will never use my Aust sim card overseas again after the saving using local card. The is some good imformation on here re sim cards so do a search
