We have never had a problem either. No questions asked upon return into Australia. We even mentioned the DVD's and he didn't care at all, he was more interested in our wooden items.
If you have numerous amounts of the same title then customs will presume that you have intentions of selling them so they will be confiscated. Fake brand handbags, shoes, clothing all fall under this as well.
