it's raining season, and that means that it's mostly cloudy and especially during afternoons and evenings, often rain.
Why do you doubt the online weather reports, do you think they are manipulated? :-)
I'm currently staying in Sanur, about 10 km from Kuta, and it was raining for a few hours every day of the last 5 days, except yesterday with just a short rainshower.
However, you have good chances that the weather is already better in 3 weeks. It's end of the raining season and global climate change is still just at its beginning.
