There are several airlines flying between Bali & Lombok. Merpati has the most flights per day & is the most expensive at Rp325,000. There are also GT Air, Wings & Lion Air. I recently flew GT for Rp270,000
Re being scammed in Bangsal, you dont have to be. Just IGNORE the touts & walk straight to the booking office on the beach. On your left hand side you see it as soon as you get to the beach. If you buy your ticket there you will have no problems as long as you dont arrive too late. Aim to get there before mid afternoon or you might have to charter.
