I have given card details before, but it makes me nervous. We have a separate card with a 3k limit, so that's the max we can lose. We use it in places like Mayangs. When we get back to Oz we check transactions, then stash it for next time. As someone said, though, you can always ask for their bank a/c details and do a direct credit - they must have a bank a/c, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Agree also with not emailing details - too risky.
