Not artificial stuff (the guys in Bali are Rastas and would cringe at your webbing comment haha)
Naturally the longer your hair the better as once they are twisted into the dread they become considerably shorter.
eg shoulder length dreads 'real' length would be well below the waist/ backside
Is possible to add extension "dreads" but it requires glue & they look like the proverbial ...anyway
