Be warned. The hawkers drive you crazy along this street especially the old lady who follows you into the shops and is tugging at you while you are trying to shop for gold. On our last trip we had a bloke latch onto us who wanted to help us to talk to the staff at the gold shop. This was the first time in our four visits this has happened. As I was taking back a chain I had bought the previous year(it wouldn't sit on my neck properly) we decided to use him. I was very happy as I got back what I paid for the chain ( You have to have the receipt) and was able to take that off the price of the new one I bought. We tipped him 40,000rp which he was very happy with. Some of these dealers do not speak english but they understand money.
