I would recommend staying in Ubud although some children find it boring' so it all depends however there are lots fun things to do. Regardign where to stay it really depends on your budget and how old the children are.... I have stayed at Tegall Sari and Yulia, both are nice and very reasonably priced .... not 5 star and Yulia is only perhaps a 3 star but clean and they have interconnecting family rooms.
