As Mooball said. Aussies tend to put an Aussie accent on it.
The Balinese will generally understand you but I like to have it correct.
a = ah
i = i (as in sick) except when it is on the end of a word whereby it is pronounced ee (as in Bali).
Therefore baik is bah-ick.. Don't asperate the k.
That is put your tongue up as if to say the k but don't finish it off by pushing the k (does that make sense. It's hard to explain without saying it.
