i stay at the masa inn all the time. it is real clean, and the breakfast is good and the pools are great. lots of families with kids all the time. la walon is right next door. they are about half way down poppies 1 so it is not to far to the beach or legian street. i have never been into the roomat la walon but they seem to have many families there too. hope this helps a bit.
