the Money Transfer Control Number ( on right hand side of form you receive after handing over the money) and that is what he quotes to pick up the money.
I used to send money to West Java all the time a few years ago and I used to email the number to my friend who was waiting at the email at a pre determined time. Then I gave him my old mobile phone so then I would call him or sms him with the number.
Don't think he needed any i.d because the first time we did it he could not pick up the money because I did not know to give him the PIN number or MTCN(above).
