New Zealand $ are 3rd in line ( i think)on the exchange rate boards which are displayed outside banks/money changers etc.
I cant see you having any problems at all with NZ Dollars.
Abit of advice.....always make sure NO COMMISSION is displayed/advertised. You will notice higher exchange rates offered but they will take a commission and you will be no better off/or worse as you wont be able to work it out before hand what you will be getting.
I am sure everyone on this forum has favourite places to exchange money, but i will mention my favourite locations: On JL Melasti about 3 doors up from Taman Legian Gardens resturant there is a dusy old supermarket, money changer is at the back....never ever had a problem.
There is a tiny money changer just up (2 doors?) from McDonnalds in Kuta Square......never problem.
There is another but its too hard to explain.
Last trip we actually found our Motel had better rates than on the street (first time ever), just remember that on the board it might look like there is alot of varience but when you do your sums its not a great difference (a few cents) between them all.
The airport is usually the worse rate!!!
