Hi Alanna,
In 2004 we did a round trip from Ubud to Lovina to Amed then CD and Kuta in about 6 days. Had a great time and really relaxed away from Kuta. If you are into diving or snorkelling there are some great sites around Menjangan Island (2 hours West from Lovina) and Amed. In March I am going to try and fit in the jungle trekking tour near Lovina because we couldn't fit it in last time.
In Lovina we stayed at Rambutan cottages which we loved. Amed stayed at Coral View which was okay. CD stayed at Fajar CD Sunrise, a great little 2 star place.
