Well back in the good 'ol days where a flight from Darwin to anywhere in Aussie could take on what we called "milk run". ages often 9 hours plus!!! We used to take Barramundi Fish which we had prefrozen and wrapped in multiple layers of Newspaper......never had a problem. On way back to darwin we had all the tomatoes, green beans and all the "fresh" fruit veg we could load up from Grandpas Garden & anybody elses. It would all last in newspaper. And Ohhhh for fresh milk... I was a sunshine powder milk kid. We had no choice. !!
Reference other suggestions i think if you know the hotel or place of stay well then placing in their refrigeration is the best idea.
Remember especially seafood and poultry cant be thawed and then refrozen without food poisening risks and that goes the same for other variences in some foods. Hope this is of help
