Thought I would post this little gem. As most of us here have friends in Bali,both Balinese and other Indonesians, you will get a kick out of this. As I lived there for nearly two years and have been home for three months, I have had many sms asking for financial help etc because of bad times etc. since I came back. Whilst living there with locals, had many ups and a few downs as you do. One,which is a long story, i was ripped off (my fault for not understanding motorbike ownership and registrasi systems)for 17 mill. and ending up stealing the motorbike back and then trying to sell it when i had no proof etc etc, long story. Anyway my friend and I had many arguments about this and he had many girlfriends and a wife and had a daughter in perth,another one by his wife and now she was pregnant as well as the new girlfriend. So during an argument, I told him I cursed him 100 daughters - he really wants sons - ...so...his wife had another daughter and then out of the blue I get sms yesterday saying Anna your curse is true, old girlfriend had daughter yesterday and i want your permission to call baby Anna! He really did not want anything from me, just happy to share with me.This made my day, that is Indonesia , I miss place so badly. Sorry if this is jumble but that is how my head was when I lived there and just when i was getting my "Melbourne" head back again.
