If you want to enjoy your holiday don't stay there, pay a little more & stay at a better hotel. The location is close to everything but so is the Ramayama. The Bakungsari is a cheap hotel so you get what you pay for, in my opinion nothing. The rooms are so basic, the bathroom didn't have a shower curtain or screen so water went everywhere in the room. The towels were taken in the morning by room service (I use this word loosley) not returned til 5pm, too bad if you come back hot from shopping & want to shower. The bed was disgusting, the pillows old & marked, the sheets didn't fit the mattress so by morning you ended up lying on the mattress. I kept worrying about bed bugs. The breakfast was disgusting, the staff, sullen. The reception staff were a little better, but only just. I know a lot of people stay there & like it, but for the money it's not worth it, spoils a good holiday.
