In 2004 I hired a Yamaha Nouvo scooter from Johnny Walker outside Agung Cottages in Jalan Legian for 10 days. It cost 300,000 Rp for that period. It was almost new with large wheels and space under the seat for a helmet. There were only hand controls, electric start and an automatic gearbox.
As I have an Australian Motorcycle License, I obtained from the NRMA (equivalent to the RAC) an International Drivers License (IDL).
On previous trips, I have shown the IDL which is endorsed for mororcycles to police at road blocks and was waved on.
