We (2 adults and 1 girl 16yo and 1 girl 13yo but turning 14yo in Feb)went to Waterbom mid Jan. We paid discounted price of US$18/adult and $10/for our youngest daughter (bit sneaky but she is shorter than many 13 yos and hey this is a pricey place even by Aust. standards, let alone Bali !!). We paid this to a local Tourist Agent prior to going to Waterbom and used the voucher they issued to convert to tickets on entry to Waterbom (no problem at all with this). The other advantage was we had them not fill in the date on the voucher so we could put date in later and go anytime. From memory, the actual 'walk-up' entrance prices at Waterbom were $US21 adult / US$11 child so you can definitely get 10-15% savings from any agents (ask at your hotel or you will find agents promoting tours etc anywhere).
The child price is 12yo and under. This is also the common "cutoff" for child entry prices around Bali (same in Sydney I guess). There is a family one-day ticket for US$58 walk-up so I would think you could probably get this for around US$50 if you try around (but family is 2 adults and 2 under 12 yo. so no good in our case). Waterbom itself wasn't that busy in mid-Jan (in line with overall tourist downturn). We were surprised to find a bunch of Russians there actually!! We got there late am and no probs. in finding 4 lounge chairs near the swim-up bar. The lazy river ride is very tame but the waterslides are great ('Smashdown", the highest one , was enough to freak me out so only did that once!). Have fun.
