Villa in a walled compound ?

Hey all,
I have been surfing quite a lot to find a nice villa in Seminyak. What I don't understand is that many of the luxury villas have no or ver sober gardens and that their small plot of land is completed surrounded by a wall. Why is that ? Is that for security ?
I would rather prefer a villa in large and lush gardens. I have found this a 3 BR villa "Novus Bali Villa" and it looks nice, but it does not seem to be walled. Should that worry me ? What is your opinion ?
