we looked at this hotel and were very impressed with the rooms etc and love Cafe Des Artiste. It is now called the Samhita Garden hotel (formally Santika Garden).
We really wanted to stay there 7-11th March but only way to book this hotel at the time we were looking was direct with the hotel and they were rather expensive. Alternatively there was one internet site offering this hotel but they were no cheaper than booking direct. This time we have opted for the Ubud Village hotel. Alot cheaper than Samhita, not too far to walk to Cafe Des Artiste but much closer to all other cafes and shops. This hotel comes highly recommended from alot of people here. There is only 1 report on here of someone staying at the Samhita and they were not so impressed with the atmosphere and the staff.
