the rooms are separated by the stairs as said below, when you get to upper level the balcony runs full width - in front of each room and across the stairs. Basically it is one balcony but you have your side and the other room has theirs, they would have to be pretty cheeky to use your side of the balcony (and you would be within your rights to tell em to move over). I think it is fine the way it is set up and each side has its own table and chairs. The suites are huge, when you first enter there is a sitting area with chairs and lounge and coffee table (this is where they will set up your son), then through a sliding screen (not a full wall but private enough) to the main bedroom and bathroom.
